Selling an item

You sell from your collection: open the item and choose Sell. The item does not disappear from your records, but gets the status Sold and your profit or loss is calculated.

Step by step

  1. Go to Collection and click the number of the item.
  2. Choose Sell. At the top you see what you paid for the item, including finishing work.
  3. Fill in:
    • Sale date and Sale price (€) – required.
    • Sold via – shop, fair, online, private seller, auction or other.
    • Buyer – name, address, postal code, city, country (2 letters, for example NL) and e-mail. All optional; fill in what you want to keep.
    • Shipping method and optionally Warranty until for the buyer.
  4. Choose Sell.

Profit or loss

The difference between the sale price and what the item cost you (purchase amount incl. finishing work) is shown on the page of the sold item, with an arrow up (profit) or down (loss). In Reports choose the subject Sales to see revenue and profit per year, category or source.

Finding sold items

By default you do not see sold items in your collection. Turn on Show sold items to see them. Open the item for the sale details.

Undoing a sale

Did you enter it wrongly, or did the sale not go through? Open the sold item and choose Undo sale. The item returns to your collection and keeps its purchase number.

When is it not possible?

  • A part of a set cannot be sold separately. Sell the whole set, or first take the set apart with Dissolve set.
  • An incomplete set is not sold as a whole. When selling a set there is a notice with a link to Dissolve set: that turns what you still have into separate items, which you sell separately. See Sets.
  • An item that is on the layout cannot be sold. Remove it first in Layout build.
  • An item that was used as material for finishing work stays with the item it was used for.
  • If your licence has expired you can no longer change anything. See Account.
