Photos

You can use photos in three places. They follow the same rules: JPEG, PNG or HEIC (iPhone), at most 15 MB per photo. Every photo is checked and reduced (at most 1600 pixels), and location data (GPS) is removed.

Own photos of an item in your collection

For a single item or a whole set in your collection you can add up to 5 own photos, for example of its condition, the packaging or damage. Only you see them.

  1. Open the item in your Collection.
  2. Under My photos choose Add photos and select one or more photos.
  3. Click a photo to view it larger, or the cross next to it to remove it.

A part of a set has no photos of its own; add them to the set itself. If you dissolve the set later (Sets), the separate items become ordinary items to which you can add new photos. The photos of the set itself are removed then.

Photos of a personal article

For an own article you add a silhouette (the side view) and extra photos. The silhouette is always shown first. You can choose which photo becomes the silhouette.

Photos in the catalogue

Photos on a catalogue article are for everyone. You add them through Propose a change, see Changing an article. Only use photos you have the right to share.

Photos in Layout build

For an activity in Layout build you can add up to 100 photos, with a caption.

Photo space

All your own photos (items, personal articles, layout build) count towards one shared photo space. If it is full, remove photos first. You see the usage when adding a photo in Layout build.
