Layout build
Here you keep track of what you place on and remove from your model layout, with photos and costs. That way you later know what is there, what it cost and what you ever used.
Layouts
You can keep more than one layout. Choose + New to create a layout with a name and description. For each layout you can upload a layout plan (an image of the plan you made in another program; JPEG, PNG or HEIC). That keeps your plan with your records.
The log
Open the layout and choose Log. An activity is a job: for example "track laid", "overhead wire" or "station built". Choose New to add one:
- Date and title.
- Cost – a fixed amount for the activity (labour, material that is not in your collection). The value of items from your collection is not part of it: that is calculated separately.
- Lines – which items from your collection you place or remove.
- Photos – up to 100 per activity, with caption.
Adding lines
- Open the activity and choose to add a line. Search your collection by number or description.
- Choose Place or Remove.
- Enter the amount: a number of pieces (up to the package size), or a percentage (1 to 100%) if you only use part of it, such as a roll of track.
The system checks the timeline: you can never remove more than was there, or place more than you have. As for categories, you can only place scenery, track, system accessories, control devices, digital control and other: locomotives and wagons cannot be placed here. A sold item cannot be placed. A set is not placed as a whole; use its parts separately.
What is on the layout now?
The layout page shows What is on the layout now: the track length laid, the paid value of the part in use and an overview per category. With Show total build you see everything that was ever placed, including what you removed later.
In your collection
For an item in your collection you see Where is this now?: whether it is on the layout and what percentage. An item that is on the layout or appears in the log cannot be sold or deleted. Remove it first.
